These days the American Susan Mitchell celebrates her holidays in The Netherlands. She lives in the Florida Keys, a group of islands in the Gulf of Mexico. During a bike ride through our country she visited Gouda. She met Henk Kreuger, who’s responsible for the communication activities of our food bank, and he told her about the necessity of this organization in Gouda. Spontaneously she donated €100 for buying food for our customers. What a surprise! Thank you, Susan, for your involvement. Your gift must be undoubtedly our furthest donation ever, from the other half of the world; good for our own book of records. Have a good follow-up of your holidays here in Holland and a good flight back home. We’ll never forget you.
